Festive mood

when i stepped down from the bus, i was utterly shocked..in fact, once i passed the toll, the red tanglungs hanging around malacca town are indeed so catchy, totally unlike shah alam. in malacca, u can hear chinese new year songs blasting in every single houses, shopping malls, and even grocery stores..what more can i say? malacca is so happening. in shah alam, to even spot a tanglung is so hard and unpredictable. even when i went to subang parade, the decoration for cny wasn't that colourful and red. well, for mahkota and dataran pahlawan, it is a whole total opposite. and i mean it. seriously.
when i went into my house, i found loads of cny cds around ranging from the m-girls to astro aec cny to mediacorp cd.. wow, my cny mood came alive immediately. finally, i am feeling the cny spirit. something feeling that i definitely need to bring my liveless soul back. :)

Tired...

with more and more and more assignments, investigations, experimental projects and homework pouring in, time seems so short. day passes by so fast. one moment i was in the bed sleeping and the next moment i was in school again listening to lectures. it seems like just yesterday i was only studying carboxylic acid in chemistry and now i am sitting for my quiz already. time flew by just like that..faster than a jet plane...faster than superman....faster than a bird.....time is short..i just wish time will wait for me...time will wait for me...time will wait for me...

Sushi Class, Sushi Experts

japanese club held another successful event-the sushi class...i guess gash is still beaming proud about the success of this class....hahaa..glad you are happy, gash..
and we definitely have the best sensei as our advisor of our class.
she prepared all the stuffs for us ranging from rice to seaweeds to fried eggs to japan vinegar to sushi board....isn't she is lovely? all we need to do is to make sure we attend the class..and i guess everyone definitely have fun on that day...at least i hoped.

before i start crapping bout sushi rules and outcomes...here are some myths that i must share with you guys, myths that i discover during the sushi class.

MYTH 1: Who say guys can't cook?
the guys in our group are the best chef in intec...they even made better sushi than us....superb..they are more tedious than girls..they are even more into it during the sushi class.

the sushi the guys made

the sushi my girl team made..embrassing right???

MYTH 2: Don't eat raw food like crab sticks.
during the process of making sushi, everyone was so hungry, famish and starving. we just can't possibly resist the slices of crab sticks and fried eggs and raw cucumbers and carrots in the Tupperware..it won't do much harm if we sneaked a few into our mouth.
MYTH 3: Who said we need talents to cook?
cooking is not all bout talent only, it is also all bout interest and confident...even though all the members hardly enter the kitchen, but yet our sushi class was indeed a success!!

alrite, enough of myths on sushi class..now, my blog shall reveal our sensei zaiton's sushi recipe...try it at home..it's simple, delicious and definitely not time consuming at all.

INGREDIENTS & STEPS:-

make sure you buy this japanese rice cuz japanese rice is sticker compared to normal rice.

prepare cucumbers and carrots..make sure you wash them cleanly
*check it out, it's the guy again who washes the vegetables*
*wondering what happened to all the girls*

slice off the carrot skin using a peeler to avoid bitterness...for cucumber, it is advisable to get japanese cucumbers for compatibility with the sushi taste.

cook the rice and use a ladder spoon to chop through the rice continuously. chop not stir.
if possible, do it in a windy place to cool down the rice.

buy japanese vinegar and add a few drops into the bowl of rice to enable the rice to stick together.
beware: the vinegar bottle is hot.

prepare some slices of eggs, mayonnaise, and even salt too for flavourings.

slice the cucumber vertically and thinly. make sure you dispose all the seeds in the cucumber.

slice the carrot too like how you did towards the cucumber.

pour a tin of tuna into a Tupperware and add in some tuna/mayonnaise and stir them well

make sure you wear gloves for Japaneses are very particular about cleanliness.

put a slice of seaweed on the sushi mat. spread a thin layer of rice on it and add some salt and mayonnaise's too. after that, decorate the sushi creatively by adding the eggs, cucumbers and carrots.

use the sushi mat to roll the rice up and cut them to slices.

your sushi is ready!!!

remember to pose with your sushi first before throwing them into your mouth!

Hopefully this sushi guide is helpful and try them at home. just make sure you buy the sushi mat. it is definitely a must must in the sushi process..making sushi is simple and doesn't involved any oil or much washing. just the rice cooker i guess..enjoy and have fun doing sushi!

A WRAP UP OF THE SUSHI CLASS

well, sushi class is never fun without us for sure.

everyone seems so interested in the sushi making process.

Back in Intec

here i am-back again in intec.
ooo..HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.....
that's all i can express bout my feelings right now.
everything seems so perfect and well again.
everything seems so fine and joyful.
everything seems so alive
well...
maybe not...
it's too early to predict what will happen later....

why am i feeling happy??
a) i shifted to block four akasia hostel. when i first stepped into the house, i was utterly shocked. SHOCK. it was so different from block one. the floors are ceramic tiles, the walls are painted in bright sunny yellow, the toilet has a wash basin and also a mirror, the kitchen was like sparkling clean, the room was like so cosy and the best part good internet connection. i couldn't be more grateful than ever. it's like living in heaven for the first time in Intec. and i mean it.

b) i am in canberra class.. a class free from medic students....lol..its all pharmacy, bio-techs and dentistry students....totally free from medic students which equally means stress free class...ooo..i'm so lovin it...get to know christina and carolyn better and seriously they are cool people whom i should have known earlier. :) even connie and ying hui cool people too...they are very hardworking for sure so unlike the lazy of me... one word, i love canberra....love it to pieces....

c) i meet my family in intec again-koo,melissa,jj and gash...it's like those good old days hanging out with them...koo with her admiration over j,q and o....melissa with her anime intrest, jj with her dear dear, gash with her arashi....and me??? hahah easy. shen with her green turtle again.

d) my final examination year 11 results are out...wasn't really splendid like a WOW but still a surviving mark at least.....pretty dissapointed with my chemistry marks for i can done better but somehow what startled me most was math!!! ....speechless...i was just wondering will i be able to achieve those marks again?? feeling stress and pressurized again..sweat....

e) get to eat with mei yueh and yuin yi again...introduce to them pak li kopitiam and now they are making me having my dinner there for every single day...hahhaa.a...and they insisted that they want to try all the food at there...lol...guess we have to wait and see....

guess first week in intec was smooth sailing..but i know the worst of the worst will arrive soon...with loads of researchs, oral presentations, directed investigations, assignments, tests, quizzes....fuhh...life is gonna be hard soon...

Farewell, Melaka.....

**SNIFFS**SNIFFS**SNIFFS**
the last place i want to go now would definitely be intec but time is short, my holidays are over, what more reasons can i give? i don't really hate intec but i detest the pressure, the tension, the stress, the assignments, the exams, and the food at there. i have been leading such a cosy life for the past two months, cuddling in the most comfortable bed, listening to the blasting musics, hanging out with my friends, cam-whoring with my sister..everything seems so perfect but now it's over..back to the suffering paradise..back to the torturing life..back to sad depressed life....if Doraemon do really exists, i am sure he is capable to prolong the time and allow me to have more fun
but after all Doraemon is just another myth to trick small kids like me...
i gonna miss both my parents tremendously, the delicious food cook by mum, and how my dad and i quarrel just to get the remote control..and how me and my sis fight for the streamyx line....childish but that's what makes us closer as a family.
i am being dramatic over here cause i am still travelling back to malacca every week.....i definitely will cause there is nothing much to do in the hostel during weekends......i can't deny the fact that i am indeed a pampered kid being the youngest in the family, they showered me with so many love and i can't possibly live far from them...i am not really an independent kid but that's definitely something i need to learn.....
which block will i be staying in akasia? which class will i be? who will be my brand new classmates? who will be my lecturers? how did i fare in my exams? everything shall be revealed soon.......

if you guys really want to know how i feel, just click below and you will understand...
COOKIE MONSTER'S SADNESS
if cookie monster can only survive with cookies, i can only survive with more time...

p/s: i won't be blogging that often anymore simply because connection in akasia block sucks a big time...
GOODBYE MELAKA!!!!!

Shen's Interest in Entertainment Industry

for years and many years, people have only known me as having a major crush on DBSK band..well, that's so true but some how there are many interest of me in the entertainment industry remained secret. guess boredom in the house alerted me to post something on it.

SHEN'S LIST OF

FAVOURITE ARTISTS

Hottest, prettiest and sweetest Lady

1) Honey Lee ( Miss Korea 2006/ 3rd Runner up for Miss Universe 2006)
I guess none could possibly hate her, even the Korean industry loves her tremendously. she has the sweetest face with the best features and the best body..with the deepest dimples..and the best of all she has the most lovable character-just like a girl next door.

2) Reese Witherspoon
Ever since she acted in legally blonde, i am so attracted to her..she has the sweetest smile in the world that would melt everyone's hearts out there including me. her ex-husband, ryan has definitely make the worst mistake by divorcing a super rich, beautiful and talented wife and mother of two.

The Most Adorable n Cutest Girl

1) Jang Na Ra
it all started with her korean drama called my love pattzi which was indeed a hit both in Korean and Malaysia. she has the most electrifying eyes with the biggest smile i ever seen and a dimple on one side of her face. her acting skills are really good too but in these recent years, her popularity has reduced....and we couldn't see much of her on screen anymore.

2) Moon Geun Young
I guess many people should have known her through her debut acting in the Korean drama called autumn in the heart when she was only 8 t0 9 years old...she grew up gracefully unlike many other artists. she is never under the alcoholic influence and she is just as sweet as a candy. she is about the same age with hillary duff but no matter how she still looks ten times younger than hillary.

Hottest and Most Handsome Hunks

1) Josh Duhamel
The hottest actor on screen-the las Vegas guy..if he really works in the casino there, I'm sure to be the regular customer there...haha he is one guy who doesn't age even though he is already 35 years old and in fact he has six pegs too... and the best thing he has the hottest girlfriend in the world-fergie and their relationship is admirable..way to go, boy!!

2) Yamashita Tomohisa
i don't usually get attracted to japanese guys but this one is totally irresistible. he is the leader in the band called news. i admit that he doesn't really sing that superb but some how his acting skills are WOW. He has height, he has the look, he has the talent and that's why he deserve to be in my hot hunk list.

The most Adorable and Cutest Guy

1) Xiah Kim Junsu
obviously he will be in my list in this category-simply because he is just so adorable. his voice is so melodious and unique and he is definitely one of the most promising artist in Korea with the best singing, dancing and acting skills. and he is only 20...still young, fresh and a long way more to go.....

2) Lee Sung Min
korea is always fulled with cute guys and he is definitely one of them too... he is one hot guy who adores pink tremendously but suprisingly pink suits him so well...one cheerful guy from the super junior band who craps a lot, who talks a lot, who smiles a lot....for that reason, he is a must must in my list here today.

i am done for this list today. more to be continued till then stay tune on my blog for further enlightenment on shen's interest in the entertainment industry. chaoz~~~~and if u guys have any crushes too like me in this industry, just leave messages in my blog or if u totally disagree on my list, feel free to let me know :)

National Treasure- Book of Secrets

national treasure, the movie that i watched today in the cinema for only RM6!!! and that is one of the main reason i love malacca so much- we get special rate on wednesday!!! been ages since i last went to cineplex to watch a movie. if i'm not mistaken, the last movie i watched in the cinema was the fantastic four-the rise of the silver surfer..yeah, truly outdated right? after all, i am not really a movie-addict.....
ok, back to my review on national treasure...at the beginning of the story, it was pretty slow and boring for it was much about the family history, and how they discover the torn pages of the Booth's diary-no ation pack at all. i was nearly half-asleep at that time perhaps due to sibaraku ( we ate a fantastic lunch at there with a super super undeniable handsome chef cooking in front of us :P..it's normal..girls like us just love to 'cuci mata').......thank goodness the movie came alive back with some car chasing scene and how genius their plans were to break into Buckingham place and also the white house. my favourite moment was only when the search for the treasure begins....lame side of me....
overall, i would give a 3.5 star out of a 5 star.... watch it if u have time for some relief moments before college life begins again! :)
