Sushi Class, Sushi Experts

japanese club held another successful event-the sushi class...i guess gash is still beaming proud about the success of this class....hahaa..glad you are happy, gash..
and we definitely have the best sensei as our advisor of our class.
she prepared all the stuffs for us ranging from rice to seaweeds to fried eggs to japan vinegar to sushi board....isn't she is lovely? all we need to do is to make sure we attend the class..and i guess everyone definitely have fun on that day...at least i hoped.

before i start crapping bout sushi rules and outcomes...here are some myths that i must share with you guys, myths that i discover during the sushi class.

MYTH 1: Who say guys can't cook?
the guys in our group are the best chef in intec...they even made better sushi than us....superb..they are more tedious than girls..they are even more into it during the sushi class.

the sushi the guys made

the sushi my girl team made..embrassing right???

MYTH 2: Don't eat raw food like crab sticks.
during the process of making sushi, everyone was so hungry, famish and starving. we just can't possibly resist the slices of crab sticks and fried eggs and raw cucumbers and carrots in the Tupperware..it won't do much harm if we sneaked a few into our mouth.
MYTH 3: Who said we need talents to cook?
cooking is not all bout talent only, it is also all bout interest and confident...even though all the members hardly enter the kitchen, but yet our sushi class was indeed a success!!

alrite, enough of myths on sushi class..now, my blog shall reveal our sensei zaiton's sushi recipe...try it at home..it's simple, delicious and definitely not time consuming at all.

INGREDIENTS & STEPS:-

make sure you buy this japanese rice cuz japanese rice is sticker compared to normal rice.

prepare cucumbers and carrots..make sure you wash them cleanly
*check it out, it's the guy again who washes the vegetables*
*wondering what happened to all the girls*

slice off the carrot skin using a peeler to avoid bitterness...for cucumber, it is advisable to get japanese cucumbers for compatibility with the sushi taste.

cook the rice and use a ladder spoon to chop through the rice continuously. chop not stir.
if possible, do it in a windy place to cool down the rice.

buy japanese vinegar and add a few drops into the bowl of rice to enable the rice to stick together.
beware: the vinegar bottle is hot.

prepare some slices of eggs, mayonnaise, and even salt too for flavourings.

slice the cucumber vertically and thinly. make sure you dispose all the seeds in the cucumber.

slice the carrot too like how you did towards the cucumber.

pour a tin of tuna into a Tupperware and add in some tuna/mayonnaise and stir them well

make sure you wear gloves for Japaneses are very particular about cleanliness.

put a slice of seaweed on the sushi mat. spread a thin layer of rice on it and add some salt and mayonnaise's too. after that, decorate the sushi creatively by adding the eggs, cucumbers and carrots.

use the sushi mat to roll the rice up and cut them to slices.

your sushi is ready!!!

remember to pose with your sushi first before throwing them into your mouth!

Hopefully this sushi guide is helpful and try them at home. just make sure you buy the sushi mat. it is definitely a must must in the sushi process..making sushi is simple and doesn't involved any oil or much washing. just the rice cooker i guess..enjoy and have fun doing sushi!
