CNY Spirit

<span class=

as cny is just about two weeks and a half away, the spirit for cny is getting livelier.
weeks before cny are just something that i look forward every year because mum will be busy buying cny goodies and food such as my ever favourite lap cheong, hai sem ( sea cucumber), pork pork pork... and.... there will be loads of cny delicacies around my house too ranging from nga ku chips (arrow root chips) to kerepek pisang to muruku to kuih bangkit to chicken floss roll to love letters to pineapple tart. yummy..... definitely a season to gain weight and it is totally unavoidable for me. and there will be loads of crazy sales around and what i love about cny sales? the bras are freaking cheap. i meant it. real damn dirt cheap. and and the ambiance around the town is lovely, malacca is rather highly populated by Chinese and cny celebration is rather grand over here... tanglungs, banners, cny music blasting out loud at every single shops.. so how can i not feel the cny spirit?

<span class=

third time heading to kl zzzzzzzzzzz... but this time with sis.
in fact, before we went for shopping spree, we went to putrajaya to settle my sis sponsorship stuffs.. and ironically, the juniors were having their pre departure Australia briefing at there on the same day . the same builidng that i went last year by intec bus, dressed in coat and long slacks, listening to long long talks till late evening and jumping queues to get the travelers cheque. memories.

better stop typing now because i don't see the point of this post. -_-''. sorry everyone if i wasted your time reading this post. hahaha.. till then, i shall have fun being a busy bee preparing for cny. and then back to brisbby. =( heavy heart. donwannabebackthere.

Why I Like It Longer?

Why i like it longer?
Because
LONGER is THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER WORD in the dictionary.
don't believe me?
take a look.

Longer symbolize ETERNITY.
by having something unusually longer than others, their fame and name are immortalized in the Guinness World of Records. how cool is that.

Xie Quiping, world longest hair (5.627m)

Lee Redmond, world longest fingernails ( 8m 65cm)

Longer symbolize SEXY
women would pay tonnes for fake eyelashes and lengthening mascaras just to have those electrifying killer eyes.

long eyelashes are indeed sexy and flattering.

Longer symbolize YUMMY-LICIOUS
world famous chefs, hotels and restaurants are willing to go all way out to produce the 'longest' and most memorable food of all time.

Akasaka Prince Hotel, world longest hot dog (60m)

Longer symbolize DANGER
despite being capable of endangering one's lives for at least ten minutes, people are willing to travel across the sea and land just for the thrill of it.

Japan, world longest steel roller coaster (2479m)

Longer symbolize IN TREND.
If you want to be one of the trendiest person in town, hold on to the longer word and you will never be a fashion outcast.

what is the most fashionable dress now? - the longer the better and they call it the maxi dress.

what is the most fashionable accessories now? - the longer the better and they call it the long necklace.

what is the most fashionable phone in town? - the longer the better and they call it the LG Chocolate (BL40)

Now, you believe me don't you?
longer is an amazing word, isn't it?
everyone is willing to pay or fight their way through for the longer word.
so do i.
that's why i am fighting to win the LG chocolate phone from nuffnang =)
because
by having an exclusive longer phone would make you different from others.

p/s: join the competition here, pour out your juiciest ideas and you will stand a chance to win. simple as that. have fun and enjoy! bye!

Shir Shir's Day

whenever i start a post, i have two problems; thinking the title and starting the story. yeah two such insignificant issues that i paid unnecessary attention too. weirdo.

anyway, my sis is back for like five days. it was awesome to have her back especially the part of her flooding me with endless gifts.
the both of us were stranded at home till today as mum was busy with school and dad was in kl. both of us who have the scared-to-drive attitude which totally kills our freedom to move around. relying on Malacca public transport is the worst option one would consider.

my sis had this sudden craze over BB cream which infected me as well. we did like crazy endless researches over the net, surveying the prices and reading long reviews and preferences of each people. in fact, i could proudly claimed that my knowledge about BB cream is as good as my knowledge about anatomy. bragging.

and after endless of researches, we finally headed out for real practical surveying instead of facts and theories only. my sis ended up buying etude BB magic cream ( Half price.. damn cheap!) while i ended up with nothing except bobby pins. not giving up yet on my hunt for BB cream. yes people i getting vainer. my 'vain-ing' process is always activated during December and January month and somehow disappeared in the middle of the month. lazy bum like me hardly take things seriously.

<span class=
the sister that i am so proud of. she always make me look incredibly fat and plump when i am standing beside her. i am so jealous of her petite size while i inherited the incredible hulk body frame. how saddening.

<span class=
before riding the so damn smelly lousy cranky public bus compared to Brisbane's buses. oh btw, my sis has fabulous sense of fashion. she totally adores high-waisted skirts, vintage bags, ballet pumps, large rings...my sifu in fashion.
when sis is back, the girly part of me is unleashed. so perhaps you will start seeing my post babbling about clothes, hair and fatness.

until then, have fun and see ya around.
do expect lesser posts from me because honestly, i am running out of ideas to blog latley. =( somebody please do revive my dead brain!

My Fairy Will be Back

my fairy will be back in a few hours more. yes my fairy is my sister. she is indeed the fairy in my house while i am the devil one. she is quiet, petite, obedient, hardworking, lovely and naive. unlike her sister who is noisy, mischievous, stubborn, lazy and rough as claimed by parents, teachers, tuition teachers and friends.it is undeniably true that i am the one who used to bully her, hitting her head with a ping pong bat. lol. i am cruel. on the other hand, i am just extremely glad that she will be back tonight. i miss her so much and she is the one who bought me so many stuffs from ipod to Nintendo to clothes to books to everything i had. yeah i am lucky to be her younger sister. kekeke.
welcome home sis! your mei mei is waiting for you.
xoxo.

(p/s: lol random pictures from slide show popping out on my desktop)

A leopard can never change its spot.

if you are wondering why i had been so quite lately even though i was at home for 24 hours a day, the answer was simple. i was addicted to youtube. i spend more than 60 hours on youtube, loading and watching.

when i was in high school, i was a real freak in Korean entertainment. i hardly knew how it came to me but i was a die hard fan for both Korean music and series. but when i headed to intec for my foundation studies, the passion died off a little due to sucky Internet connection and when i was in Brisbane, it became worse as you won't find any Korean movies in aussie right?

<span class=
my collections of my used to be favourite band. those are original Cd's, direct from Korea and every single one worth more than a hundred bucks. hard to believe that i did not spend on anything else when i was young except these. these.
and somehow perhaps due to my dying passion for Korean entertainment, it had molded me into a Korean look. i was mistaken as a Korean for numerous times especially when i was in overseas. by a subway worker to a Korean cashier in a Korean restaurant to my 'ah moh' friends and even my distant aunt claimed i looked like one.

<span class=
i am rambling about Korean stuffs again because lately i was addicted to this excellent drama. i had not been watching Korean series for ages as my room mate has dragged me into Cantonese series instead ( by the true fact, my Cantonese has improved vastly. not in communication wise but in understanding terms.) the series that drove me crazy is You're Beautiful. it was definitely an awesome movie that was filmed a few months back. charmingly captured and portrayed. and they had the best ost for sure! i downloaded all the songs, and even videos of them performing the songs ( the series was about a made believe idol band, A.N. JELL )

<span class=
to be honest, it was my first time watching series from youtube. i never had the patience to stream videos especially series which occasionally might take ages but for this, it would be an exception. i was hooked up ever since the first episode. it was really frustrating when i finished loading a part of the episode, and i accidentally closed that page. it was times like those that i felt like strangling my itchy hands.

<span class=
the plot is pretty cliche in terms of Korean trend but what i adore most about this series are the on screen chemistry, fabulous acting skills, quirky fashion trends, humors and hot actors and actresses of course. i would be lying if i left the final one out. jang geun suk. my newest addiction.
i spend 3 days watching the whole series and once i was done watching, i could not get enough of it. i felt bored and restless as there is nothing else for me to watch now. uggh.. i am so going to watch it again together with my sis once she is back. and this time i am not going to stream videos anymore. in the search of the DVDs instead. =) thanks for introducing this awesome drama to me siang and li lin. though you guys commented badly about the main actor's dressing, surprisingly it was him that drove me till the last episode. lol. watch it if you haven't.

p/s: i found so many random photos in my documents after reformatting my laptop. i never realized that i had tonnes of pictures scattered everywhere in my laptop. the consequences of being disorganised. this is one of my favourite picture because IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO GET THE GUYS TO DRESS SMART. once in a blue moon.

U hu! hu!

<span class=
if you happen to crave for cheesecake, do check out U HU! HU! in pavillion.
located within the loaf shop, near the escalator in fact.
thanks to cherylyn who saw the advertisement and demanded us to eat there with the description of a pink pink shop, my friends and I headed there. we did not expect much because the three of us are not really a fan of pink stuffs.
but damn, the cheesecake there was awesome! tantalizing! delicious! mouth watering!

if you don't trust shen on food, that would be your biggest mistake for sure.
please please do check out U HU! HU!!
if those cheescakes are as awesome as these, i won't mind gaining extra weight after consuming 2 cups of it. truly satisfying.

<span class=
there is a wide range of flavour for you to choose from such as green tea, caramel, coffee, banana, kiwi fruit and etc. that's the specialty of the cheesecake. the cheesecakes aren't really cheesy, but rather light and fluffy. suits someone like me who is not a big fan of cheesy stuffs.

<span class=
we only managed to taste six. and my best choice of all? luxurious chocolate, tangy lemon and durian obsession. those flavour, ultimately delicious.

check out U HU! HU!. You won't regret it.

I do not like Wetland.

i crashed my friends apartment in sri petaling on Thursday morning and put up a few nights there, hanging out with my friends. i was back on Saturday afternoon but when i was about to blog, my parents requested me to send my laptop for reformatting. yeah this old grumpy laptop of mine ain't behaving really well for the past few months. so off it went for some life repair surgery and is now back. plus my current addiction to You're beautiful Korean drama ( thanks to siang and li lin), i can't take my eyes off the screen or youtube page precisely. yes i am back to watching Korean drama. oh btw, Siang, i am telling you here that i like the main actor. he might wear eyeliner or have the weirdest dressing, but I am so into him! somehow he do look cool in eyeliner and rather electrifying. so finally i am blogging about my rather miraculously 'memorable' trip. CHEATED BY TAXI DRIVER. eff.

<span class=
we arrived at sri petaling about noon and my friend brought us to one of the fantastic restaurants there, promoted by the Ho Chiak series. i kinda forgotten the name unfortunately. actually, i don't even know the name of the shop. the food there is total awesome. especially the one i picked. it was through this trip that i realized i was pretty awesome in choosing the best dish from the menu. from this shop and even from cheese cake shop. beaming with pride.
<span class=

<span class=
and then we headed to putrajaya as some of our friends told us that the view over there is fantastic apart from the main building. yeah we went there with one biggest mistake. NEVER GO TO PUTRAJAYA IF YOU ARE NOT DRIVING THERE YOURSELF. you will have a nightmare. because we did. we hell of did.

<span class=
before i start rambling about my nightmare, The park over there is pretty mesmerizing. the flowers, the trees, the fountain etc. but yet it wasn't as amazing as south bank in brisbane. i miss south bank now.

<span class=
the ever popular building that i had seen since i was young when i joined school trip.
can you believed that super junior (korean band) actually filmed their dancing out mv here? of all the places in Malaysia, they choose here. -_-''

<span class=
the bridge where we initially wanted to go but we gave up in the end when the more we walked, the further we were from the bridge. how distressing.

<span class=
genius us decided to take a taxi from the main building area to alamanda putrajaya instead of walking back to the bus stop as we were too lazy and tired. it was one of the worst decision we had made in our whole trip. CHEATED. yes we were cheated by a taxi driver. I HATE THAT TAXI DRIVER. HE told us how awesome wetland park was where we could see flamingos, lotus flowers and feed the fishes.... we trusted him just like small kids would do and diverted our plan to Taman Wetland instead of the air conditioned and Big and modernized Alamanda.

<span class=
and the idiotic taxi driver brought us to a less popular park instead of the wetland he had described in our mind. we were stranded by the river with no public transports. not even a sight of taxi or buses. we were lost and when we asked for directions, the people at the park laughed at us for being cheated by the taxi driver. naive us. the people told us that the wetland we wanted to go was not far about a km walk. so we walked BY THE HIGHWAY. freakishly scary with speeding cars. and finally we spotted a flamingo on a lamp post. and we knew we were in the right directions.
<span class=
we spotted flamingos. and when we decided it was time to head back home, we realized there were no possible public transport at there. Scream!!! we were stranded by the wetland and by the highway with no ways of getting home. and thanks to a kind couple, they brought us back to klia transit centre. and who do we blame?? that idiotic taxi driver. yes him. we cursed him for three days and two nights. biar dia hilang pelanggan dia semua. penipu.

<span class=
later at night, we mended our horrendous experiences in Putrajaya with superb Sate Kajang. Must try, peeps. it was awesome. i ate 12 sticks, nasi lemak and a ketupat. if i could eat that much, you should believe me that it was more than awesome.

<span class=
we had an utterly exhausting trip for sure. and yes as for now, i had horrible phobia for three words : wetland, flamingo, and lotus flower. refrain yourself from saying these words to me or else i shall curse you too.

Balik Sekolah, Kenangan Manis

<span class=
time flies fast once we graduated from high school. in the blink of eyes, it had been fours years since i left school and had yet to return to school till yesterday. it was a sweet time spending times with your old classmates, meeting with the teachers and surrounded by the same atmosphere that never changed. i do really miss my schooling days especially my form 5 life.
so here's the long post about our journey back to school.

<span class=
in the library where we spend most of our time talking, sleeping and getting scolded by the librarian for being noisy. just as a brief introduction about my 5 Science 1 class which is always labeled as the NOISIEST AND MOST MISBEHAVED class. so pretty frequent i will be using the word noisy. good old library that never change after so many years. it was like i was brought back to old times, in the same ambiance and decorations.

<span class=
dear cherylyn having a hard time with kertas percubaan spm 2006.
OUR PAPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the papers that drove us crazy, made us laugh and cry.

<span class=
the bimbotic li lin.

<span class=
the pride corner of the school : the collections of all the medals.

so now i shall show pictures of my classes since form 1 till form 5.

<span class=
surprisingly guys, this is my class of 1 Biru for the first few months before we shifted into another block. did u see the mark on the wall? because that was where i previously pasted the slogan for the class at there. such an obedient student, ain't i?

<span class=
our most dreaded subjects of all time. though my mum is a living skill teacher, i have never inherited the gene to be good in sewing. i never like sewing and i failed to remember a single thing i learn during sewing class. =(

<span class=
my class for form 2 and form 3. how rusty the window stills were. the class where we played angel and mortal game, practiced for gymnastrada, and do crazy wacky stuffs together.

<span class=
my form 4 class in the so called haunted and creepy block. the class where we learn about producing magazines, carrying our probationary duties.....etc

<span class=
my favourite and best class of all time =) in the windiest block and the highest rank block as the senior students are being placed there.

<span class=
sitting at our old places 4 years back. and that's how we formed our unity link in the classrooms. being noisy, chatty, and rowdy.

<span class=
our beloved treasurer who will always 'sepak' us for not paying our class fees on time.

<span class=
wulalalala spm in 25 days? i never remember my class spm countdown. in fact, we never done that before.

<span class=
me and my tortoise trademark since school days.
and i miss add math unfortunately. i miss math.
leftie do look cool in picture, right?? yes yes yes.

<span class=
our stairs where we use to sit down and share ghosts stories, refusing to enter class for mod math lessons... hahahaha our hiding place from teachers too =)

<span class=
the famous prefectorial board. some things never change after so many years.
for example, the little picture that i used to put on each printed announcements still remained there after 4 years. wth. why didn't even they change?

<span class=
the room which i opened it every morning. i miss spending time in the room, rushing to arrange duties for prefects, checking ridiculous countless of demerit slips and doing interviews.. i miss being a secretary for sure.

<span class=
the dangerous form 4 staircase with prefects on duty on usual.

<span class=
the cooking room which i think we entered twice or thrice only. we didn't get to cook much except nasi goreng.

<span class=
our favourite field corner with three awkward poles as usual. standing podium i shall name it.

<span class=
awww i really miss my school life! i miss all my friends!!! why must we grow old???

<span class=

<span class=
the beautiful shot of love grass. the grass that always stick onto our pants after our pj time. damn i forgotten what pj is called in English. sorry.

<span class=
our bengkel kemahiran hidup where we rushed to complete our kerja kayu kotak bermuzik.

<span class=
the very old vending machine, our backup drinks in case the canteen is closed especially during extra classes.

<span class=
the trees with lots of ants and green seeds.

<span class=
yeah the one Malaysia statue?? amazing job done by the teachers and students .

<span class=
gazebo hut where i used to wait for my mum after school.

<span class=
that's all for our school tour. we spent the whole morning in fact touring around and chatting with teachers.
last and but not least, we will never forget dining in our favourite food shop - Uncle Botak's stall.
muauauah funny name i know but his nasi lemak is the best in the whole world and he sells my favourite chips too!

<span class=
ta-daaaa that's my favourite chips. bika tapioca. yummy.

<span class=
i bought five packets back and finished it in two days. they are so yummy... and hard to find sadly.

<span class=
that's the best nasi lemak i had since young.

sorry for taking your time to read my long post and taking your time to load all these huge pictures. i miss school so much and i love my friends a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after visiting my old school, it just make me realised how fast i have grown up. everyone pursuing their own dreams, changing from the naive ones to the fabulous ones. good old times are always meant to be cherished. love ya guys! thanks a lot for the wonderful school experience i had.
