Shen's Favourite Movie Of The Year

AUGUST RUSH , A MUST SEE MOVIE
while not many are aware of this movie, many are at a great loss too cause this movie is simply one of the best movie i ever watched....and simply the movie cause my eyes to be swollen for the past couple of days.....a lovely movie on family and relationships that one should never miss out....... i just love the whole combination of this movie ranging from the little boy character (the boy who acted in charlie's and the chocolate factory) to the arrangement of music...superb in short....

Tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York’s Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Freddie Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth. and during August's journey to find his parents, he learned more about music - how to play a guitar n even composed the Rhapsody music played by the orchestra team....his talent in music is simply inherited by both his parents and for him, live is all about music.....

The acting by the characters were excellent and they choose the right people for the right characters. There's not much dialogs in this movie and majority of the story is told through the emotional expressions of the actors and via the music. the little boy in the movie, Freddie Highmore (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) is the cream of the crop as far as child actors go. He amazed me in this film. he is truly adorable, a great actor in future and he definitely has more to offer.
Beautiful cinematography! The opening scene in the wheat field is just breathtaking. The score is fabulous. Let's face it, in a movie like this, you've got to have great music to pull it off.

I enjoyed "August Rush" tremendoulsy. I haven't been moved to tears like this by a film in a long time at the very begining of the story right till the end. The story was simply inspiring and the boy's unyielding faith and will to never give up on his dream to find his family really hit me. it makes me treasure my family even more. Kudos to the writers and director for ending the film the way they did. Instead of a sappy reunion scene, they ended it beautifully with the crescendo of the music and just the close-up on August as he sees his parents standing there for the first time.

a labour day for us

Being so drenched up with workloads and perpetual exams, i am TRULY ABSOLUTELY glad that i finally have a long weekend break......some serious break that i desperately need now............before proceeding on my labour day with my friends, i just felt the urge to post this pic...yeah, all of us were smiling but trust us right after the math test, we weren’t like that anymore....in fact, i regretted taking this pic a few minutes before math test....should have spend the last two seconds reading math formulas instead......duh....it’s too late now.......

(carolyn, shen, tina, gash, xiang)

Being around with my buddies again makes me so warm and homely. Watched iron man with my friend..it is definitely a good movie with a 4/5 stars rating...i love the torturing part where they filmed in Afghanistan, just remind me about those articles i read for debate......Tony Stark a genius in physic and if only i have a brain like his, my physic would not have flung that badly......... but a tiny part of this movie disappoint me where the antagonist died too fast...the director made it look as if the evil vanished so easily..........i will definitely credit the humor part in this movie...lovable and enjoyable it is definitely a great movie and worth watching it in the cinema.

an A+ movie for shen

Revolution of Time

recently, ausmatians have their individual class photography shots to be included in their AUSMAG (Ausmat Magazine) and here comes shen's cliche memories pour back...i still could remember vividly the first day i enter my very first class in INTEC - Warrungu (i find the name very hilarious and pretty similar to kangaroo) i still could remember all those smart looks staring at me....those looks that imposed that they are well-quipped with knowledge and they definitely do..sometimes judging a book by its cover works. six months i spend my life as a warrungian, as a junior, as a baby in INTEC (considering that i am jumpee and pretty dependent on people).......six months just flew by like that...new friends come and go...old friends come and go too....................

My sole Warunggu class

and now i am in a brand new class- Canberra (some name that definitely sounded more sophisticated than the previous one).......i simply realized that i was the only warunggu people there while most of the other warunggians are in Adelaide (.... my class mainly consist of Luritjians and Wambayans and Bunubans (haha sounds so funny) but i am glad i am in that class.....mixing with new people just make me realize that in reality, there are so many more friends to be known and so much more to be learn. even though this year i complaint a lot and indeed not a preferable year for such due to the extreme stress i am carrying right now, i feel being in INTEC is a blessing in diguise... if i had never study at intec, i will never meet my cool roommate -Gash, i will never get to know cool friends and i will never learn to be competitive and more hardworking.

the blackies canberrians.....

now 8 more months to go..................till the end of my suffering...............till i finally can get the ultimate enjoyment in life..............................till i can declared myself a path closer to be a pharmacist......surviving shen shall continue surviving ..... ^_^
