Ambang Merdeka UITM 2007

Thursday, 30th August was an extra exhausting day-from test to midnight celebration. once i completed my test, i rushed back to my hostel to change my shirt and even actually skipped my dinner just to attend the ambang merdeka night without knowing the worst of the worst was waiting for me. once we reached the main campus of uitm, there was a uitm student ordering all the non-muslims to stand aside. once we were informed that we, non-muslims are involved in marathon that particular night, i was speechless-in fact stunned. imagine as early as six i woke up in the morning, sat for my math test that evening and now i was forced to RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! well, we walked all the way up the hill to the starting point and were standing there for hours together with the cyclist and other runners. we had some fun mixing with the korean program students and was cam-whoring all way through...running halfway..stopped halfway...took pictures....listened to japanese songs....sang some songs.....till we finally reached the gate to enter the stadium...but yet we stood there for like ages.......and it was that time that i realized that not all non-muslims are involved in the run only unfortunate ones like me...

the korean programme students plus gash's water bottle

cam whoring during halfway of the run

the other runners

and finally we entered the stadium and here came the worst part in my life-running a whole complete track....all of us are forced to run and run and run.....well, if you saw intec students running around the stadium yesterday, it was no doubt that i was one of the crowd running there.....but at least we were entertained by the fireworks in the end...it wasn't the best but at least something to calm me down after running for so long.

and here comes the best peformance-it was cute , funny and pretty cool too. performance by the tentere malaysia. pretty amazing performance for them as they were performing gymnastics. seriously, their usual fit and serious trainings are so ironic compared to this soft, flexible and sexy stunts....

and during halfway of the celebration, something caught my attention- the trademark of warrangu class.. which is none other than wei-qi game. she actually brought her wei-qi there and was spreading the interest to play wei-qi among the other uitm students.......well, i guess that's how she celebrated merdeka after all. and now presenting to you guys the two so-called most patriotic students in 'intec'...gash & chin.
and even thought i didn't stayed at the stadium till the countdown for merdeka, i experienced the cutest countdown in my life. we actually countdown in the bus together with the radio announcer.... it was so cute when everyone was screaming and laughing...Well, i guess it wasn't a bad day after all minus the running part for sure! :)

p/s: when i woke up this morning, my whole body was aching and numb ...perhaps it has been ages since i last ran.
