Melbourne in My Eyes (1)

Melbourne rather impressive state library.
saw that two years back and it never change. lol

hey peeps, it's my second day in Melbourne. finished watching germany vs spain match, lost and mourning. takoyaki for dinner tonight specifically the Paul octopus.
i haven't meet up with my friends yet and spending most of my time with my sis. i love being around my sister due to the sense of security she gave me in both emotional and financial wise.

had dim sum for lunch at Shark Fin restaurant in Chinatown. five-star food.everything at there was so good from those egg tarts to siu mai to desserts too except for the overcrowded places and slow food trolley arrival. too famous and too many people.

Melbourne weather is beautiful and lovely. although it is freezing at times,i survive better in cold rather than heat back in Brisbane. enjoy the breeze and cold air. and people there were really dressing up for winter with those boots, thick scarfs and bulky jackets. in Brisbane, girls are still in short or mini skirts during winter.

next destination : Tim Burton exhibition. it was really worth it because i enjoyed looking at Tim Burton's drawings and artwork. his imagination was really amazing with his awesome creations like Edward scissorhands, Sweeney Todd, The Night before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Alice in Wonderland and etc.
we saw all those props used in the movies he directed. I saw Mad Hatter and Alice costume anD Mad Hatter costume was rather impressive. Batman and Catwoman costumes too and lots lots lots lots lots of Tim Burton's amazing sketches. the only downfall of this exhibition was the crowd, over-crowded i shall say where you actually had to queue up just to see one single drawing. crazy. and no camera allowed too.

and all these pictures were taken with my brand new camera given by my sis as an early birthday present. Thank you, sis. Sony DSC w350. Not really a new model i think but I'm super loving it. it is so light and it takes good pictures so far. well at least, the super big zit on my face is not visible.

as for dinner, i had it with my sis's awesome friends at Sake Japan restaurant at Bridge Road. i think that could have been the best best Japanese food i ever had. seriously i am not lying. their grills and skewers were crazily good. and even their desserts left us drooling for more.

just like this! panna cotta (ah moh's version of tau fu fa). two words : mind blowing!

with all the good food in Melbourne, there is no way i am getting thinner during this winter.
btw, i am still mourning for Germany lost. they ain't playing like how they should. disappointing.
on the bright side, Philip island and Skiing over the weekend. :D
